Serve
There is a place for you in the work God is doing in Pelion.
Called to Serve One Another
Service has never been the price of belonging at Florence Baptist Church. It is the natural overflow of a life that has received grace. Everything we have including our time, our abilities, our resources was entrusted to us by God, and He calls us to put it to work for the good of His people.
Whether you can give an hour a month or an evening every week, whether you have taught for thirty years or have never volunteered anywhere, there is a place for you here. God has given each of His children something to offer, and this church is stronger when every member brings it.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10

A Few Things to Know
- Serving with children or students requires a background check. This applies to the Children’s Team and Student Ministry. The church handles the paperwork and covers the cost; you need only sign the release.
- The Safety & Emergency Response Team requires training. SERT provides its own preparation before a member serves, so there is a period between signing up and your first Sunday on duty.
Every other team is open to you now, and most of them you are welcome to visit this Sunday.
